Inmate Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Cayuga County Custody Officer

The inmate at the Cayuga County Jail accused of injuring a custody officer by punching him repeatedly in the face less than three weeks ago pleaded guilty on Thursday to a violent felony assault charge in county court.

Sincere Harrison’s plea means he faces up to seven years in prison and three years post-release supervision when sentenced in January.

The 24-year-old Auburn man also pled guilty to unrelated charges of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, criminal contempt, and unlawful imprisonment and faces an aggregate seven-year prison sentence.
