Police have ticketed the driver of the car that struck a woman while backing up at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Victor last month.
87-year-old Filomena Marchioli was pulling into a handicapped parking spot on September 29th when she overshot the space and struck another car. Police say the Fairport woman then recklessly reversed her car and hit 83-year-old Maryann Delfino, also of Fairport, at a high rate of speed as she was walking behind Marchioli’s car. Delfino passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital hours later.
Marchioli was ticketed for unsafe backing.
