Two men died on Thursday after falling into a manure tanker in Oneida County.

According to WKTV, the incident happened at Champion Farm in Clinton. One of the men attempted to retrieve a piece of equipment that had dropped into the tanker. Police say when the man went to retrieve the equipment he passed out and fell inside the tanker. The second man attempted to get home, but he also passed out and fell into the tanker.

Both men were taken to a nearby hospital and were pronounced dead.

Police have identified the individuals as 33-year-old Nathan Doody, of DeRuyer, and 29-year-old Tyler Memory, of Tully. The men were not employees of the farm.
