Rochester’s Lou Gramm to Learn of Possible HOF Induction Saturday

Rock and roll fans need to watch “American Idol” Sunday night to see if  Rochester native Lou Gramm is getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Gramm, as a founding member of Foreigner, and one of this year’s nominees. Billboard reports the announcement of this year’s inductees will be made Sunday night on “American Idol.” The announcement will be made by host Ryan Seacrest and Idol judge Lionel Richie.

To be eligible, an artist’s first commercial recording must have been released 25 years prior to nomination. Foreigner’s debut album was released in 1977. T

he other nominees this year are: Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & The Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinead O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.
