The state DOT is inviting residents to learn more about a proposed paving project along State Route 14 in Chemung County, also known as the Miracle Mile.
An in-person public meeting will be held on Thursday at 6 o’clock at Horseheads Village Hall. The project would resurface Route 14 from just north of West Broad Street in Horseheads to just north of the Elmira city line. Additional improvements include traffic signal upgrades, new signage, two new left-turn lanes, curb ramp enhancements, and drainage adjustments. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the fall.
The meeting will include a brief presentation from DOT engineers, followed by a question-and-answer session.
