A Massachusetts man has been charged with murder for a shooting that happened in the city of Elmira last May.
The shooting outside of a bar on May 20th left one man dead. In addition to murder, Dante Baldwin was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Baldwin was taken into custody in Springfield, where he resides and was extradited to New York. The 28-year-old was sent to the Chemung County Jail to await arraignment
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
