One Finger Lakes fire department will soon have a new fire truck.
The first new piece of mainline fire equipment for the Marcellus Fire Department since 2009, the truck committee has returned from its final inspection of the Spartan Gladiator in South Dakota.
The new truck will be named Rescue 1 and be able to carry equipment for multiple scenarios as well as 500 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam.
Rescue 1 is anticipated to arrive in the Onondaga County village in approximately one month.
