Man Accused of Threatening SJF Staff Due in Court Today

The young man arrested for allegedly threatening a staff member at St. John Fisher University is due in court this morning.

Shalom Matthews was arrested in March of 2024 for allegedly threatening a staff member with a knife with the intention to restrain her and subject her to sexual contact.

Mathews was charged with attempted kidnapping sexual abuse, attempted kidnapping and attempted sexual abuse.

Channel 10 reports Mathews is due in court this morning at 10 o’clock.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
