A Livingston County school has a new nickname.
Now, the Letchworth school district is inviting students and alumni to have a chance to design their idea of the logo for the Letchworth Legends.
Since its existence, the Letchworth mascot has been the Indians. The use of Native American imagery and mascots by New York schools was barred by the state Education Department back in the Spring of 2023.
