As state budget negotiations continue, Assemblyman John Lemondes says the sticking points holding up passing a budget include crime an inflation.

On FLX Morning Podcast, Lemondes said “the important things that are important to everyone – inflation, crime, and public protection and public safety – are being discussed. Those are the main things that are holding this budget up.”

A second budget extension has been put in place to keep the government functioning and will remain in place until Monday.

The budget was originally supposed to be approved by April 1st in accordance with the state’s constitution.
