The Libertarian Party of New York has officially nominated Larry Sharpe as its candidate for Governor in the 2026 election. The announcement came during the Party’s state convention in Rochester, where delegates from across New York united behind Sharpe’s leadership and vision.
In his acceptance speech, Sharpe told supporters, “No one will outwork me.”
Joseph Amoroso, Sharpe’s campaign manager, highlighted the campaign’s readiness and momentum: “We already have a strong infrastructure, a dedicated team, and an energized base across the state. This campaign is focused, disciplined, and driven by a clear purpose — to give New Yorkers a real alternative and real hope. The excitement is growing, and we’re ready to take this all the way to November.”
Following his nomination, Sharpe’s campaign continues its statewide tour, meeting voters, engaging communities, and expanding its network of volunteers and supporters ahead of the 2026 election.
