Geneseo Housekeeper Accused of Stealing $58K in Jewelry from Clients

A Livingston County woman who was hired to clean homes in the Geneseo area reportedly took some of her clients to the cleaners.

State Police arrested Maureen Schirmer after she allegedly stole more than $34,000 in jewelry and other items from one residence and approximately $20,000 from another home. The 58-year-old Geneseo woman is accused of pawning the jewelry.

Schirmer was arrested on two felony counts of grand larceny and additional charges are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
