A fatal house fire in Chemung County remains under investigation.
Firefighters responded to a home on Pine Valley in the town of Caitlin just before five o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. They subsequently found the owner of the home deceased inside. State police have not yet identified the person who passed away.
No other injuries were reported.
