Fire crews from several departments responded early Thursday morning to a large commercial fire at the Dunkin’ Donuts store near the Arnot Mall in Big Flats.
According to officials, the Big Flats Fire Department requested mutual aid around 5 a.m. for a structure fire in the Chambers Road area. The Elmira Heights Fire Department, along with several other local crews, responded to assist at the scene.
Emergency responders remained on-site working to contain the blaze and protect nearby businesses. The size and scope of the fire prompted a significant multi-agency response.
No additional details about injuries or the cause of the fire were immediately available. Authorities say more information will be released as the situation develops.
