Driver Dies After Striking Snowplow in Onondaga County

An accident involving an SUV and a snowplow in Onondaga County early Sunday morning resulted in the death of one of the drivers.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the SUV was driving north on Morgan Road in the town of Clay at around 2:30 when he rear-ended a Town of Clay Highway Department snow plow truck. Upon impact with the plow, the SUV caught fire with the driver still inside.

When police arrived on scene, the SUV was fully involved with the driver still inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
