With dry weather conditions persisting across New York, the State DEC has increased the fire danger to high for all of the state.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo says Thursday will mark the 10th consecutive day without measurable rain in the region, and more dry and warm days are ahead.
Forecasters say dry brush and grass can easily ignite and carry fire.
There are currently 11 active wildfires in the state, all started by human activity.
