A kayaker is dead after capsizing on Seeley Creek in the Chemung County town of Southport Sunday.

State Police say a 44-year-old man was kayaking with two other people when it capsized. The unidentified man was eventually removed from the water and was taken to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and pronounced dead. The two other people in the kayak were able to make it to shore safely.
