4 Sent to Upstate Hospital Following Sunday Crash

Four people were taken to the hospital after a two vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Oswego County.

According to State Police, around 3:45p, 20-year old Nathanial Hunter of Brownville was travelling northbound in a Mitsubishi Lancer on State Route 3 in the Town of Richland at a high rate of speed, passing several vehicles in a no passing zone.

He then struck 64-year old Rodney West of Oswego, causing his Chevy Prizm to go off the road and strike a telephone pole.

West and three passengers, ages 18, 17, and 14, were taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for non-life-threatening injuries. Hunter was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
