Police have arrested an Elmira teen for allegedly setting his house on fire while three of his family members were inside.
18-year-old Edwin Bennett has been charged with felony arson. Bennett is accused of starting the fire at his home in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at around 7 Thursday night. Everyone inside of the home was able to escape.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire was suspicious and their investigation is continuing.
