Yates County Sex Trafficker Pleads Guilty

A guilty plea from the Starkey man accused of sexually exploiting a child over the span of seven years at various locations in Yates County and the Southern Tier.

Andrew Daugherty pleaded guilty on Monday to charges of sex trafficking of a child, predatory sexual assault against a child, and compelling prostitution. 17 other people were also arrested in connection with the exploitation of the same child. Some of the other suspects have already pleaded guilty to their charges.

Daugherty agreed to concurrent sentences of 25 years to life for the predatory sexual assault charges, plus a 15-year consecutive sentence for sex trafficking, totaling at least 40 years in prison.  He will be sentenced on June 20th.
