An inmate at the Yates County Jail has been charged with assault.
20-year-old Summer Elliott is accused of getting into a physical altercation with another inmate on Sunday. The victim was treated and released from the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital.
Elliot was returned to the Yates County Jail following her arraignment.
