Williamson Man Arrested on Felony Criminal Contempt Charge

A Williamson man was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following the report of a family trouble in the town of Williamson.

The charges against Roger Cooney stem from an incident where he allegedly went into another person’s apartment without their permission and threatened them, violating a stay-away order of protection. He was charged with felony criminal contempt, stalking, criminal trespass, and harassment.

Cooney was sent to Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
