Wayne County Man Accused of Cashing Forged Check

New charges for an inmate at the Ontario County Jail.

Joshua Wallace was arrested Tuesday on one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument. The 40-year-old Ontario man is accused of cashing a forged personal check at the Canandaigua National Bank and received $802.60 as a result.

Wallace, who was being held on an unrelated charge, was returned to the Ontario County Jail and will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Greece Police Department assisted in the investigation.
