A Waterloo woman faces charges after police responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Church Street with a person barricaded inside.

After a shelter-in-place was issued for nearby residents, the situation was quickly brought to a peaceful end by law enforcement. Police determined the suspect, 30-year-old Allisha Higbee, fired a pellet gun and no one was injured.

Higbee was charged with menacing, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The Waterloo Police Department was helped at the scene by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and the Seneca Falls Police Department.
