The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a Waterloo man following a shoplifting incident at a local business.

Police say 40-year-old John Myers was taken into custody on Wednesday after allegedly removing merchandise and passing all points of sale without paying.

Myers was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
