An Ontario County man faces charges following a traffic stop at the intersection of State Route 96 and State Route 332 in Farmington.
After determining Evan Whiting to be impaired by drugs during standardized field sobriety tests, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies determined the 18-year-old from Victor was also in possession of a switchblade knife.
Whiting was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol, and smoking marijuana while driving.
Whiting was released on appearance tickets for Farmington Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
