Two Penn Yan men have been arrested on assault charges following an altercation that happened earlier this month at a local establishment.
While on routine patrol on November 4th, Penn Yan Police witnessed a verbal altercation taking place between three people. An investigation into the incident led to the discovery that 47-year-old Jamie Lovejoy and 25-year-old Jayson Lovejoy allegedly attacked another man, striking him in the face multiple times resulting in an injury. What led to the alleged attack was not disclosed.
In addition to assault, the Lovejoys were also charged with harassment.
Both men were released on appearance tickets.
