Traffic Stop Leads to DWI Arrest in Penn Yan

A traffic stop early Sunday morning in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old Blossvale, New York man.

Devan Brittan was stopped for several traffic infractions on Elm Street and allegedly showed signs of intoxication to police. He was placed through a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and submitted to a blood draw to determine his blood alcohol content.

In addition to DWI, Brittan was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was released on appearance tickets for Penn Yan Village Court.
