Traffic Stop Leads to Charges Against Geneva Man

A Geneva man will appear in Penn Yan Village Court following a traffic stop on Liberty Street in the Yates County village.

Michael Vasconez was stopped for allegedly driving an uninspected car. A check of his license revealed he didn’t have one and was driving a car without the required ignition interlock device.

The 24-year-old Vasconez was charged with operating a motor vehicle without an interlock ignition, operating in violation of restrictions, unlicensed operator and an uninspected motor vehicle.
