Tompkins County Man Arrested on Felony Weapons Charge

A Tompkins County man is facing criminal charges after police claim he reportedly brandished a knife at a group of people.

Ithaca Police say they were patrolling the 100 block of South Cayuga Street when they were approached by the alleged victims. A short time later officers located a person matching the description given to them, who was later positively identified by the victims.

22-year-old Jared Manley, of Spencer, was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon as well as misdemeanor menacing.

Following his arraignment, Manley was released to appear in Ithaca City Court at a later date.
