Three Arrested Following Steuben County Burglary Investigation

On Sunday, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Oldfield Court in Bath following an investigation into a burglary and the theft of firearms in the Town of Thurston.

The search resulted in the recovery of five firearms and several pieces of allegedly stolen glassware, which had been previously reported as stolen to the New York State Police in a separate incident.

Deputies arrested the following individuals in connection with the investigation:

David Sullivan, age 39, reported homeless, of Bath, was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony; Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony.

Michael Ogden, age 35, of Addison, was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony; Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony.

Alec Bowen, age 31, of Bath, was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony; and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony.

All three men were arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court. Sullivan and Bowen were held in lieu of $5,000 bail, while Ogden was held without bail.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Village of Bath Police Department and the New York State Police.
