A Texas man was taken into custody in Livingston County this week on a warrant out of Ontario County.
Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Thomas Landis, of Lott, Texas, was arrested on Monday in Lima. The warrant had been issued by Geneva Town Court after Landis failed to appear for a scheduled court date.
He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
