A Syracuse woman has been charged with grand larceny following a reported theft at the Dick’s House of Sport in Eastview Mall earlier this year.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Darsheilia Stroud was arrested on Tuesday and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree. The charge stems from a May 31 incident in which two women allegedly stole $1,074.92 worth of merchandise from the store.

Stroud was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to respond to the charge.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no information has been released about the second suspect involved in the theft.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
