A Syracuse man was arrested on Wednesday at the Onondaga County Jail on a bench warrant issued out of Ontario County Court.

The warrant for John Lansing’s arrest was issued by Ontario County Court Judge Karle after the 37-year-old allegedly failed to appear in court on driving while intoxicated charges.

Lansing was transported to the Ontario County Jail where he remained in custody on pre-arraignment detention and will appear in Ontario County Court on Thursday.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
