A Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy had to be treated at a local hospital after being injured while attempting to take a Bath man into custody.
49-year-old Brian Rosell is accused of injuring the deputy after being arrested for allegedly stealing property in the town of Bath on Sunday. In addition to felony assault, Rosell was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine in the county jail where he is being held without bail.
The injured deputy was released after receiving treatment.
