A joint investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s Department of Social Services, and the District Attorney’s Office resulted in the arrest of an Addison woman.
Amanda Grant is accused of offering a false instrument for filing to DSS and receiving benefits in the amount of $15,858 that was she not eligible to receive.
Grant was charged with offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud, and grand larceny, all felonies.
Following her arraignment, Grant was released to appear in court at a later date.
