A Steuben County man was taken to the hospital following a two-car crash on Route 14A in the town of Milo.

An investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office determined that John Welc, of Avoca, was driving south when he allegedly failed to signal while turning right. Police say the driver of the second car, Richard Siegried, of Lakemont, was following too closely and was unable to stop, striking Welc from behind.

Welc was taken to Soldiers and Sailors for treatment of undisclosed injuries. He was ticketed for failure to use a turn signal and Siegried was ticketed for following too closely.

The Penn Yan Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene as did Penn Yan Ambulance.
