Steuben County Man Charged With Felony Welfare Fraud

A joint investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s Department of Social Services and the District Attorney’s Office resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Cameron man.
Timothy Mosher is accused of offering a false instrument for filing to the Steuben County Department of Social Services and received benefits from the Department of Social Services for $1,496.00 that he was eligible to receive.
Mosher is charged with offering a false instrument for filing, welfare fraud and grand larceny, all felonies.
Mosher was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
