An inmate at the Steuben County Jail has been arrested for an assault.
In addition to allegedly hitting and injuring another inmate, 29-year-old Joshua Jackson is accused of attempting to possess a weapon unlawfully. He is also accused of failing to comply with orders issued by the Corrections Officer to stop the assault.
Jackson is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies and obstructing governmental administration.
