Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reports the arrest of 34-year-old Robert Ravesi on August 15 following a traffic stop in Sterling.

Deputies say Ravesi was stopped on Route 3 after being clocked at 73 mph in a 55 zone and moving unsafely from his lane. He was found to be intoxicated and later recorded a .26% BAC.

Ravesi was charged with DWI (first offense), aggravated DWI, speeding, unsafe lane change, and license violations. He is scheduled to appear in Sterling Town Court on August 27 at 6 p.m.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
