Sheriff: Aurora Man Arrested, Believed He Was Sending Nudes to Teen

An Aurora man has been arrested for having inappropriate communications with someone he thought was a teen.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was begun on March 27 and determined that, while communicating electronically for three months, Thomas Cooper had sent sexual requests and nude photos to a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

The 34-year-old was arrested Tuesday and charged with Dissemination of Indecent Material to a Minor, a felony.

Following arraignment, Cooper was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
