Sheriff Asks for Help ID’ing Suspect in Auburn Theft

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted for questioning in connection with a larceny at the Bass Pro Shops in Auburn.

According to investigators, surveillance video captured the individual—who appears to walk with a noticeable limp—inside the store. Officials have not released details about the items taken but say the person is being sought as part of an ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information is encouraged to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office at 315-253-1222. Callers should press 0 and ask for Deputy Forgham.
