A Varick man was taken into custody Saturday on an active warrant, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Officers say 29-year-old Edward Carter was arrested around 1:45 p.m. on a warrant for violating the conditions of his sentence.
Carter was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
