A Seneca Falls man was arrested Friday in connection with a felony warrant and now faces an additional charge related to child safety, according to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.

Police say 45-year-old Ted O’Connor was taken into custody at approximately during the execution of a felony warrant issued by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office earlier in the week.

Authorities allege that during the execution of the warrant, O’Connor’s actions created an unsafe environment for a child who was inside the residence at the time. As a result, he was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

O’Connor is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment. Police say an order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
