An inmate at the Seneca County Jail has been arrested on a charge of promoting prison contraband.

The arrest of 35-year-old Jessica Hopf, of Seneca Falls, stems from an incident where it is alleged she was found to have an unauthorized substance on her person.

Hopf was arrested at the Seneca County Correctional Facility and was held for arraignment at CAP Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
