A Schuyler County man will spend the next four-and-a-half-years in prison after admitting to breaking into a home earlier this year.

52-year-old Marvin Rhoads, of Burdett, pleaded guilty last month to a felony charge of attempted burglary. Rhoads admitted to forcibly entering a home in the town of Dix on March 21st.

In addition to prison time, Rhoads was also sentenced by Schuyler County Judge Matthew Hayden to a year-and-a-half of probation and to pay almost $3,700 in restitution.
