Police took a Savannah woman into custody Monday morning after responding to the report of a person rolling around on the ground on Jackson Street in Lyons.

25-year-old Erin Marriott is accused of failing to identify herself to deputies when they initially arrived on scene. She then allegedly gave a false name in an attempt to avoid being arrested for an outstanding bench warrant issued by Village of Newark Court. Marriott was taken to the Wayne County Jail where she was turned over to the Newark Police Department to await CAP arraignment.

Marriott was issued an appearance ticket to answer obstruction of governmental administration and false personation charges from Monday’s incident
