The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Rochester woman on an active bench warrant issued by East Bloomfield Town Court.
The warrant for Katia Velez-Roman’s arrest was issued after she allegedly failed to appear to answer the charge of driving while intoxicated.
Velez-Roman was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
