The investigation into a fraud complaint by the Wayne County Department of Social Services resulted in the arrest of a 68-year-old Rochester woman.

It is alleged that Darlene Temple, who was a recipient of SNAP benefits, did not report the income she was receiving, which violates the rules and regulations of the program. As a result, Temple is accused of collecting $5,106.00 worth of SNAP benefits she was not entitled to.

Temple was charged with grand larceny, welfare fraud, and offering a false instrument for filing.

Following her arraignment, Temple was released to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
