A Rochester man faces charges of forgery in Wayne County.

It is alleged that Brett Forgione altered a Wayne County Rep Payee check that was issued by the county’s Department of Social Services. The 43-year-old is alleged to have cashed the forged check in the amount of $208.00.

Forgione was also charged with petit larceny. He was released to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
